There are 3 major factors that make up your premium. The payroll for the business, the type of work your employees are doing, and your company’s claims history. There are common discounts that are available. 2% for having a workplace safety program and 5% for a drug free workplace program in place.
Q- How much does Worker’s Compensation cost?
It provides medical payments others that are not living in your home if they are injured on or by your property, or as a result of you or a family member living with you.
Q- What is Medical Coverage on my homeowners policy?
Under most FL HO3 homeowners policies, damage to your screened enclosure from a hurricane is NOT covered unless you add a specific endorsement on your policy.
Q- Is my pool cage/screened enclosure covered for damage from a hurricane?
No, Flood (rising waters from outside of the home) is not covered under a standard FL Homeowners policy. Flood is covered under a separate flood specific insurance policy.
Q- Does my homeowners insurance policy (HO3) covered for Flood damage?
Damage from a tree falling on your car would be covered under your Comprehensive (Other than Collision) if you chose that coverage and has it’s own deductible.
Q- What if a tree falls on my parked car, how is it covered?
No, your auto insurance would cover the fire damage to your vehicle if you have Comprehensive coverage.
Q- If my house catches fire and my car burns down with it, does my homeowners insurance cover it?
Yes, construction employers that have 1 or more employees are required to carry workers compensation by the state of FL
Q- I own a construction company with 3 employees, do I need workers compensation coverage?
100/300 stands for $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident pertaining to liability coverage limits.
